Fantasy Super Rugby Mag Week 4 Round-up

Top Scorer: Rieko Ioane with 66 points.

  1. Sevu Reece makes the dream team on debut! I never picked this guy in my team to start the week as he wasn’t listed on the game before posting that article. I was very excited when the Crusaders signed him and when Mag included him last minute. Now that his personal life is back on track I had to pick him! Boy did he not disappoint! So if you are part of that 1% that had him, Well Played! Bridge was benched so I’m not sure he’ll start weekly but if he does he’ll be starting in my team.
  2. Laumape is a must have this season, if you can afford him. He’s performing weekly.
  3. Genia is the best performing scrumhalf and the Rebels are so much better this season. I predict they will win the conference he stays fit and doesn’t get injured. Quade is looking a lot sharper too which is good to see.
  4. The Sunwolves started well again this week finishing the first half 15-13 but lost their way in the 2nd half a bit. I guess 2 in a row in New Zealand is a big ask for any team. Sonny Bill and Michael Little both played well at center for their respective teams but Rieko Ioane was the difference between the 2 side. He’s the best finisher in the business.
  5. The Chiefs looked better on paper this week but really played badly in the 2nd half. McKensie needs to go back 15, I cant stand players like him and Izzy being moved from their best positions to 10 or wing…WHY??? Start Debreczeni at 10 already and move Folau back to 15 For Great Odin’s Raven!
  6. Always and I mean always check the starting line-ups. https://www.sport24.co.za/Rugby/SuperRugby/super-rugby-weekend-teams-20180116-2
  7. Josh Ioane moving back 10 was better but he’s too in-experienced to compete with the likes of Boden. Still a good bench option.
  8. The Jags did their thing again but didn’t manage to get a player in the dream team I’m afraid.
  9. The Bulls spanked the Sharks, well done if you took my advice and picked Liebenberg.
  10. Hooper and Johnson-Holmes joined the party this week. If you need a replacement prop I’d look no further that this guy, he played a full 80 minutes this past week…
  11. Jantjies had a great game for the Lions for a change. I just cant get myself to pick him and think Handre is the 10 to pick this season.
