Fantasy Super Rugby @TheRugbyMag – Week 2 Line-ups

Here’s Week 2’s line-up for FeastJuice, picked fresh, this is a team you could field with a full squad of 28:

DISCLAIMER: This is slightly different to the team posted on the Fantasy Rugby TV FB page, simply because in the game I’m limited to 5 players from one team, and obviously have to stick to the salary cap, rather than it just being my best picks.

However, similar principles – load up on Tahs & Highlanders who are about the same in terms of point favourites at 20 and 21 respectively. I like the Crusaders at home against a very average looking Hurricanes as well. Obviously if I can find players starting at lock, but slot them in at flanker then that’s all goodness – i.e. Holloway.

The material change is no Hooper partly due to too many Tahs and partly too much cash, so I’ve shuffled the backrow and locks slightly, and flipped in Petti into the starting line-up instead of Hemopo. I love Hemopo at lock as he gets a lot of tackles in, is a main lineout threat, and has the opportunity to load up on run metres. Really a 50/50 on him starting over Petti.

Captain Folau. Too much upside to ignore.

Kicker Foley. Again, could be slotting over conversions like they’re going out of fashion.

WILDCARD’s IDEAL TEAM FOR WEEK 2:

I’m actually captaining Jed Holloway only because locks score mega points in this game. Foley would be great in an ideal world but because every transfer on top your 1 per week costs you 20 points, Jed would be the one. Therefore this team above is not much like my actual team as like you I had to plan for the season. My actual transfer was at SH because I had Brad Weber who is now injured. Basically I wish I could have free transfer per week as I love to tinker with my team. Good Luck People!
