Week 14: Fantasy Super Rugby Round-up

Week14

TOP SCORER – Rieko Ioane with 94 points

UNLUCKY PICKS

  1. Jean-Luc Du Preez as he usually averages over 40 and only played 50 minutes this past week and scored 18 this past week.
  2. Tevia Nabura from the Highlanders getting a red card for a ninja kicking someone in the face after catching the high ball…
  3. POOREST PERFORMER –Rory Arnold – 16

What has round 14 taught us:

  1. The Jaguares are really coming into their own and may make the play-offs. Only Kremer made the Team of Week though.
  2. The Highlanders are really struggling this season as you would have expected them to beat the Tahs this past week. Going down to 14 men and 13 at one stage obviously did not help.
  3. Ben Lam was again in great form and I’m pretty shocked he was not mentioned in the All Black team to be honest…
  4. Ardie Savea is back to beasting people and making decent points,  you better get him back in as his current form is excellent.
  5. The Sunwolves did well to beat the Stormers. That said the Stormers made so many errors and their line-outs were terrible. I was gutted not to be able to bring in the likes of SP Marais. I dodged a bullet there, as he ended on a mere 23 points.
  6. Always and I mean always check the starting line-ups. https://www.sport24.co.za/Rugby/SuperRugby/super-rugby-weekend-teams-20180116-2
  7. The Crusaders did what they do best by putting in a strong performance in the first half, the Blues tried to make a come-back and Rieko was sublime but again the Blues were too little too late…
  8. Folau is back.
