TOP SCORER – B. Lam the top point scorer of Week 7 with 4 tries.

UNLUCKY PICKS

  1. Folau 12 points, was injured after 1 run that made 12 points, he’s been in great form, so a lot of managers lost out here.
  2. POOREST PERFORMER – Tim Perry for the 2nd week in a row with an even worse –11 points.

What has round 7 taught us:

  1. Let’s start with Ben Lam, 4 tries and over 100 points. I’m pretty sure everyone will have him next week… Feast had him on the bench and couldn’t bring him in, which must have burnt badly.
  2. Damien McKensie had another great week at 10, this was against the Highlanders. I think it would have been harder for him had Sopoanga not been injured early on.
  3. T. Naiyaravoro was excellent and with Folau getting injured early became the go to winger and he was pretty impressive, crushing the Brumbies last line of defense.
  4. The 2 du Preez brothers had their best game of the season, I had Robert on my bench and couldn’t sub him in with my transfers so that was painful to watch. At least he made my team 50K. Jean-Luc was even more ridiculous scoring a massive 87 with 15 tackles, 11 runs, 1 try and 1 try assist and a loads of tackle busts. I hope the selectors saw that performance.
  5. The Ioane brothers both put in a strong performance although the blues hardly pass to Rieko, which I think is insane as he is arguably the best winger in world Rugby. Akira is a 1 man army and I’m so glad I brought him in last week. Moala and Collins were clearly the centres(in the fantasy game) to go for last week.
  6. Always and I mean always check the starting line-ups. https://www.sport24.co.za/Rugby/SuperRugby/super-rugby-weekend-teams-20180116-2
  7. Strauss scoring a hatrick was just funny, if you had him in your team, you got lucky!
  8. Naholo also needs to be mentioned as he scored 63 points and is looking sharper every week, he’s on a bye this week though.
  9. Last weekend a 7 locks scored over 40 points which is something to consider.
