TOP SCORER – Karmichael Hunt 83 points! Not sure many had him though.

UNLUCKY PICKS – Michael Fatialofa(HURR) was injured after 5 minutes, I have him in my team and yes it hurt! Especially considering M.Abott the other lock made 78 points.

POOREST PERFORMERS – Kane Hames(CHIEFS) -1 point, the guy couldn’t do anything right, it was so painful to watch. Abel (BRUM) also deserves mentioning with just 1 point… For a Hooker that is shocking, he’s  been solid this whole season since Mann-Rea was injured and against a weak side I thought he’d have a solid game, boy was I wrong.

What has round 8 taught us:

  1. The Sunwolves are finding it very hard in New Zealand. Against the SA and Australian teams they look like they are making progress, I expect them to have some more poor results against the rest of The Kiwi teams this season.
  2.  Boden Barrett(HURR) was on fire again, I love those games where he just decides to pin his ears back and run at a small gap in the oppositions defence. He was lightning quick and his kicking for territory was magical.
  3. Kerevi(REDS) he made 38 points which was disappointing especially against The Kings, I was expecting a 75+from him. Scott Higginbotham was outstanding though with a solid performance of 59 points.
  4. The Kings showed they are not afraid to run the ball from anywhere on the pitch. I just can’t see myself picking anyone from there team, apart from Lionel Cronje maybe, as he is a scrumhalf playing at flyhalf.
  5. The Chiefs struggled against the Cheetahs. The Curry Cup winners look like they are heading into some form and their hooker Torsten van Jaarsveld has the highest average of all hookers in the game. The likes of McKensie(CHIEFS), James Lowe, Brodie Retallik did ok, with Sam Nicol having a standout performance with 75 points.
  6. The Stormers fell short to the mighty Lions at Newlands. I must say the Lions played well even after losing Rohan Janse van Rensburg who looks like he’ll be out for a while. I guess beating The Chiefs has it’s downside, only kidding The Lions were a better side on the day, bla, bla, bla.
  7. The Bulls won at Loftus, the Jaguares must have been gutted after seeing The Bulls lose to The Sunwolves. The Bulls looked slighly better but are still making loads of error, Lood, Kriel and Pollard all had a pretty good game.Week7Dreamteam
