Over the coming weeks we’ll be providing previews across both conferences, covering all the super rugby teams. We’ll then round up a position by position overview to make sure we catch everyone. We’re not going to get into every player, but we’ll highlight:

The Top 3 Players for each team: We’ll rate these on a 0-5 star basis.

Some teams might not have any 5* players, and some might have plenty, and for the Kings who probably won’t have even a 3* player, we’ll break out the 1s and 2s. Sorry Kings fans, but even the most optimistic must realise you’re in for another LONG year.

Our  Player of the Team: A great value pick in the squad – someone to stash on the bench with upside, or start so that you can afford to get Kerevi in.

: Off the wall picks for players with great potential upside, but who might be more than a touch risky.

Obviously it’s not just about picking the highest points scorers across all the teams, that would be too easy and frankly down right boring. Each year Fox has made it progressively harder to pick a good team. Long gone are the days of putting the best back three you could our there and then filling the gaps. The previews should provide you some good guidance, but we’ll also be adding in a few strategy pieces around squad selection.
